The 1970s saw a skateboarding explosion. All over the world, parks were popping up and kids were shredding. SIMS Skateboards was right there in the middle of the action. With Tom at the helm and a hard-hitting team, they pushed the skate revolution up over the coping and into the hearts of a generation. It wasn’t just the boards and the skaters, SIMS defined a spirit. A thousand miles of frontside grinds and a layback slash to the status quo. That spirit remains. This is SIMS Skateboards.

Taperkick

Pressed in the original Tom Sims-designed mold from the 1970s, the legendary Taperkick is back and badder than ever. When this team-developed deck rolled out in 1978, concrete parks and vertical progression demanded wider, more stable boards. Tom saw this coming, delivering a board that only added fuel to the fire.

Superply

The arrival of the SIMS Superply 9.0 in the summer of 1978 marked a very defined boundary between skating’s past and future. A pre-cursor to the coming wave of “pig” shapes, the 9 X 30 dimensions were perfectly adapted to the bionic airs and technical progression pushing skateboarding into uncharted terrain. Today it’s back in a modern build with those same timeless dimensions.

Board Width: 9” | Board Length: 30” | Wheel Base: 15” | Nose Length: 3 7/8” | Tail Length: 6 7/8”

Pure Juice Longboard

State-of-the-art in 1976, the original 36” SIMS was the performance longboard of the era. A solid slab of Red Oak—stable at speed and heavy, with a mean diamond tail. Re-designed for today, this classic cruiser retains its original shape, length & iconic red graphics but features updated construction for a modern ride.
